The long wait will now be over if the rumored new flagship of Samsung which is the Galaxy S6 will be released in early January.

As early rumors initially suspects that the Galaxy Alpha series will succeed the S series of Samsung comes another rumor posted by Korean publication Chosun Biz that a Galaxy S6 will be released in January. According to the article, the new flagship will be released between January 6 to 9 and stated to be a bit early than the usual. In the consumers point of view, this release is already a bit late as they have expected the S6 to be out in the market during the launch of Apple's Iphone 6 and 6 plus.

The article also cites South Korean based analysts Mirae Assets Securities (MAS) that Samsung is aiming to sell a total of 45 million units including 10 million units of the Edge variant. Still, Samsung has kept its mouth shut regarding the rumors which leaves consumers in a bit of a loss.

As we all remember, Samsung and Apple has been in a tough battle during the initial era of smartphones but as unexpected as we all could have imagined, a new player in the smartphone production has surpassed Samsung in Asia.

Needless to say, rumors are still rumors so we could never expect for anything unless Samsung makes its turn in the announcements but, should Samsung really release a this new flagship, do you think they could once again regain their spot?
