Listening is another study skill that plays an important role in doing well in school. Active Listening is paying attention to what the teacher or the speaker is saying. Concentrate on what you hear. Your goal should be to fix the information in your mind.
Many things keep you from hearing a message. These barriers or blocks to active listening includes: you may have a lot of noise in the environment around you. You may tune out "routines" messages. You may label a topic as dull and boring before you ever hear anything about it and you may not understand the message.
